BOOK: Don't worry 'bout a thing (Being Alex Diamond) | Verlag Gudberg, 10/2009
"The book "Don't worry 'bout a thing (Being Alex Diamond)" presents the latest works of artist Alex Diamond, who first appeared in the world of contemporary art in 2004 and since then earned himself a name. The person behind the pseudonym is still unknown to the public, as Diamond has always been playing with the allures of total anonymity and since his beginnings always turned away from establishing a traditional artist personality.
His latest works are the results of his one-year self study - a discussion about identity, social roles, the power of the ego and an almost natural schizophrenia. Thus, in his first book, he reveals his latest artworks that do not only mix up photography and painting but also reality and fantasy.
Diamonds series of photopaintings follows the artist slipping into altering bodies, taking over different personalities and re-inventing himself over and over again. His face however always hidden behind Diamond's trademark: The furry mask with all its tentacles..." (nadine Maslonka)

handpainted caps: demons
some baseball-caps I did for the show at factory fresh in new york. one of a kind. all hand-drawn with china ink, directly onto the caps. the drawings are pretty resistant to a certain extent, like I wouldn't use them on a fisherboat during a storm, but a bit of rain shouldn't be a big issue. that ink is strong. anyway, you'll ned them to look good, and be protected from the sun or the strobe in your favourite club, not from rain.
they are available from the heliumcowboy online-store. | prices: 45 - 50 € plus shipping -

Limited edition T-shirt, created for the exhibition "Don't worry 'bout a thing", heliumcowboy artspace, October 2009.
High quality, white silkscreen print with a drawing of mine on black shirt. Comes in different cuts for girls and boys. while the boys get the standard tee, the girls have a much better quality and style ... well, I guess that one explains itself.
if you get one, or buy one, I would LOVE to get a picture send with you wearing it! can be a simple snapshot with your phone, taken anywhere, in any kind of position, without or with recognisable face, quality doesn't matter ... feel free. you can also try to negotiate with me first, before buying it.
